You can invent one great device and change the world, or you can invent a great instrument which can give birth to thousands of devices!
Instruments used to measure and detect are an indispensable companion for engineers. Not only are instruments used for testing and building, but they are embedded in almost every technology we use. From distant satellites to our pockets, we live in a universe of instrumentation.
Our programs feature unique content gathered from a variety of sources including the original innovators themselves (modern developments) and vast archives of original documents stretching back to the 1880s. Learn more about the making of the Universe of Instrumentation Program.
